Cyclothymia 1.0

Cyclothymia is a mental health disorder that resonates deeply with me. It prompts an intriguing reflection on the intersection between the medicalization of emotions and a more holistic, new-age approach – a juxtaposition I often navigate. Delving into the realms of mental health, cycles, and astrology is a personal passion of mine, rooted in a genuine interest in both astrology and emotional well-being. Viewing my emotional fluctuations through an astrological lens has proven to be a remarkably therapeutic experience. I possess a penchant for introspection, examining my feelings closely to understand their origin and significance. This introspective process can sometimes trigger anxiety, as I question the validity of my emotions and fear the permanence of certain moods. Astrology, however, serves as a tool for cultivating radical acceptance within me. By attributing my emotional states to celestial events – such as feeling melancholic due to the moon's position in Pisces – I am able to embrace transience and acknowledge that all phases are temporary. It helps me combat the notion of being forever trapped in one emotional state and reminds me that change is inevitable, as the world continues its perpetual cycle of beginnings and endings on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
